Fun at Lego Land!

Through Sean's school, we were able to get discounted tickets to Lego Land. And I'm so glad we went because Aben loved it. There were two rides there, and he would have been happy riding those over and over all day. One ride was a "train" ride through a dark room that had screens showing "bad Lego guys" that you would shoot with your gun. There were also spiders and bats with targets on them that you would shoot. This, of course, is perfect for Aben. He loves shooting the bad guys. He would make his shooting noise throughout the entire ride and he never got sick of it. The second ride I was worried he would freak out. You spin in circles like a merry-go-round but you can peddle and make car go high in the air. I was sure he would get scared, but to my surprise, he loved it! I just wanted to up as high as possible the whole time. It was a sad day when we had to leave and he couldn't ride the rides anymore! I think we will definitely be doing this again!

This is blurry, but this is the ride he absolutely loved! I wish you could see just how big of a smile he has on his face!

Aben: 2 1/2 years old!!

I can't believe my little boy is 2 and 1/2 years old! And he is really looking like it. He doesn't look like a baby any more. He's pretty much lost most baby fat...except those cute cheeks thank goodness! He talks like a big boy...everything in full sentences and he is becoming quit creative in the sentences he comes up with. I guess I have to come to terms that he is not my baby anymore!
These last couple months Aben has:
  • Loved ghosts, especially during Halloween and through till November. It was actually pretty creepy sometimes... Our house is old and creaky and I am alone with the kids a lot while Sean is at school. He would frequently say, "Mom, look I see a ghost", or "Mom, what's that noise? Oh, its a ghost...LOOK!" Yeah, that's one way to freak out a stay-at-home mom!
  • Loves robots! He is really obsessed with robots. He had robot pj's, shirts, toys, and loves all and any robot shows.
  • Loves getting you with the "tickle bug"! He will come and start to tickle you and say how the tickle bug is getting us....He also loves when we get him with the tickle bug
  • Is starting to go potty in the toilet! I think we will start potty training really soon!
  • Loves playing with his cousins...especially with toy guns so he can "get all the bad guys" :)
  • Knows his colors and is getting really good with the ABC's and counting.
  • Is really getting into imaginative play now. I love listening to his cute pretend play!
Some of my favorite things he has said:
  • With knowing his colors, he loves pointing out what colors his toys are now. But one day, he was sitting on my lap and said..."Momma, big blue eyes! So beautiful." Melted my heart!
  • When Aben does something that could be dangerous...I say "that makes me nervous Aben". Well, apparently I say that a lot, cause he now says "Makes me nervous!" when we play with his toys and he doesn't want us to.
  • Loves answering questions "I don't know either!"... in his little voice, this is just too cute!
  • Loves his made up word "minute". Yes that is a real word, but not the way he uses it. He just says this word so we tickle him
I just love my ABEN!
Always wakes up with "poofy" crazy hair. (Aben always calls his hair poofy!)
He has to sleep with as many stuffed animals as possible. Sometimes this is the reason he falls out of bed...its too full!!!
Loving his gown at the doctor's office for his two (well, two and a half) year check up.
Nothing is better than licking the frosting off the beater when making gingerbread men!
He is always wanting to show Noah the games he plays on "his" ipad (he gets upset if we call it mommy's ipad :) ).
